Assemblies
Custom Opto-mechanical Assemblies: Lens Systems, Mirror Assemblies, and Imaging Objectives
Cimcoop designs, fabricates, assembles, and tests complete opto-mechanical modules in a single vertically integrated facility. Products include cemented lens groups, mirror assemblies, and multi-element IR and visible imaging objectives. Assembly capabilities span optical bonding, active alignment with interferometric verification, and cleanroom integration. Every assembly is MTF-tested and ships with full metrology documentation. Prototype through production volumes. ISO 9001:2015 certified. ITAR registered.
We build complete optical modules -- from design review to MTF-tested, ready-to-install assemblies.
We make the optics and we build the assemblies. Crystal growing, fabrication, coating, cementing, mounting, alignment, and testing -- all in one facility. No handoffs between vendors. No finger-pointing when something doesn't meet spec.
Cemented doublet in a barrel? Multi-element IR imaging objective? We collaborate with your optical designers and deliver assemblies that hit your performance targets. Prototype through production volumes.
Assembly Types
What We Build
Lens Assemblies
Singlets, cemented doublets, triplets, and multi-element groups in precision barrels. IR and visible materials. AR coatings in-house.
Mirror Assemblies
Flat, spherical, and off-axis mirrors in custom mounts. Precision-aligned for imaging, beam steering, and reflection systems.
Imaging Objectives
Complete IR and visible objectives for thermal cameras, machine vision, medical, and industrial inspection. MTF-tested. Distortion-verified.
Custom Optical Modules
Lenses, windows, filters, and mirrors in purpose-built housings. Your application, your spec -- we build the module to match.

Assembly Capabilities
Why Us
- Vertically integrated -- optics, coating, cementing, assembly under one roof
- In-house crystal growing (Si, Ge) -- no supply chain dependencies for IR assemblies
- Trioptics centering and edging for sub-arc-minute alignment
- Cementing and varnishing optimized for long-term stability and thermal cycling
- Moore Nanotech diamond turning for aspheres and freeforms within the assembly
- Full metrology: Taylor Hobson, Zygo interferometry, FTIR spectroscopy
- ISO 9001:2015 certified. ITAR registered. Defense and aerospace ready.
- TAA compliant via Naked Optics Corp. (USA) partnership
Our Process
From Design to Delivery
Four steps. You're in the loop at every one.
Design Review
We review your design, recommend materials and tolerances, flag manufacturability issues early.
Fabrication
Every optical element manufactured, coated, and inspected in-house. To your exact spec.
Assembly & Alignment
Cemented, mounted, actively aligned in our cleanroom. Interferometric feedback at every step.
Test & Ship
MTF, wavefront, centration tested. Full documentation and certs of conformity. Ready to install.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Cimcoop build complete optical assemblies or just individual components?
Both. Cimcoop manufactures individual optical elements and builds complete opto-mechanical assemblies including cemented doublets, multi-element imaging objectives, and custom optical modules with mechanical housings.
What testing does Cimcoop perform on assemblies?
Every assembly is tested for MTF (modulation transfer function), wavefront error, centration, focal length, and distortion. Full metrology reports and certificates of conformity ship with every order.
Can Cimcoop assemble both IR and visible optics?
Yes. Cimcoop assembles modules using both infrared materials (Si, Ge, ZnS, CaF₂) and visible materials (optical glass, fused silica), with coatings applied in-house.
