Infrared Optics

Custom Infrared Optics: Lenses, Windows, Mirrors, and Lens Blanks in Silicon, Germanium, and ZnS

Cimcoop manufactures custom infrared optical components for the MWIR (3–5 μm) and LWIR (8–12 μm) spectral bands. Products include spherical, aspherical, diffractive, and freeform IR lenses, flat and wedged windows, precision mirrors, and crystal-grown silicon and germanium lens blanks. All IR optics are manufactured in-house using Moore Nanotech diamond turning, CNC polishing, and thin film coating, with diameters from 1 to 200 mm.

IR lenses, windows, mirrors, and blanks. Crystal-grown in-house. Diamond-turned to spec.

We work in Si, Ge, ZnS, CaF2, chalcogenide glass, and IR plastics. Every IR component ships from our vertically integrated facility -- crystal growing, diamond turning, CNC polishing, coating, and metrology all under one roof.

Moore Nanotech diamond turning. Sub-micron form accuracy. MWIR and LWIR systems for defense, thermal imaging, laser, and industrial sensing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What infrared materials does Cimcoop work with?

Cimcoop manufactures IR optics from silicon (Si), germanium (Ge), zinc sulfide (ZnS/Cleartran), zinc selenide (ZnSe), calcium fluoride (CaF₂), chalcogenide glass, and infrared plastics. Silicon and germanium are grown in-house.

What IR lens geometries can Cimcoop produce?

Cimcoop produces spherical, aspherical, diffractive, and freeform IR lens surfaces using single point diamond turning on Moore Nanotech systems. Diameters range from 1 to 200 mm.

Does Cimcoop coat infrared optics?

Yes. Cimcoop applies AR, HR, DLC, bandpass, and custom thin film coatings to infrared substrates in-house.
